A Friend at Home

Senior Support

They live on their own. They don't have to do it alone.

A warm, patient friend who lives in your mom's or dad's home. It talks with them, remembers what matters to them, helps with the paperwork and the small things, and keeps your family close. We set it up. We keep it running.

  1. MomWhat was that movie with the nun and all the children?
  2. Her friendThe Sound of Music, from 1965, with Julie Andrews. I've sent you the cover. Is that the one?
  3. MomThat's it!
  4. Her friendIt's on its way. I'll tell you the minute it's ready to watch.

A day with her friend

From the first cup of coffee to the porch light.

Her friend works the way she does: out loud, at her pace, and on her schedule. Here is an ordinary day.

  1. The day, read out loud

The weather, what's on the calendar, and whose birthday is coming up. She never has to find her glasses for it.

Good morning. It's sunny and forty-eight, and your hair appointment is at ten.
  2. Paperwork, by talking

She talks through the forms she keeps, the way she always has. Her friend fills them in neatly and files a copy where she can find it again.

  3. Letters, email and questions

A thank-you note written in her words. An email from the grandkids read to her. A recipe found, a question answered, with no screen to fight.

  4. "Is it this one?"

She half-remembers a movie. Her friend finds it, sends her the cover so she can be sure, and lets her know when it's ready to watch.

  5. Family, in the loop

Anything that needs one of you goes to you, not to her. Big decisions, money and anything new always come to family first.

  6. It remembers, so she doesn't have to

While she sleeps, her friend writes down what it learned today, and everything is backed up to her own Google Drive.

Our main offering

Senior Support is the whole thing, done for you.

You don't assemble anything, and neither does she. We build her friend around her, ship it to her door and look after it from then on.

What arrives

  • A small, quiet computer that plugs into her router. No screen, no Wi-Fi to set up, nothing to update.
  • Her friend's voice on the phone she already has.
  • Her own email address for her friend, so letters and covers reach her.

What we do

  • Build it around her: her people, her routines, her faith and what she likes to watch.
  • Set up every account so she never types a password.
  • Keep it running from afar, with backups every night.

The rules her friend keeps

Made for how she lives.

  • She never types a password. We sign in to everything once, during setup. Security is our job, not hers.
  • It asks before anything that matters.Money, sharing her information or writing to someone new: her friend reads it back and waits for her yes.
  • Big things go to family. Her friend knows who to call, and it's one of you.
  • It tells the truth. If it doesn't know, it says so and finds out. No make-believe.
  • It respects her faith and her values. It talks with her from inside what she believes, never around it.

Private by design

Her friend lives in her house.

Her memories are kept on the computer in her home. We never sell or share anything about her.

Nightly backups go to her own Google Drive, encrypted where they hold anything personal.

Only people you choose can reach it, over a private network. It is never open to the internet.

We built the first one for our own mom.

She lives a few thousand miles away, and we wanted her to have someone there every day. Senior Support is everything we learned doing it, so your family can have the same.
